The 2020 Elections Will End In Tears For NPP And Akufo-Addo – Kennedy Agyapong Fires

The loudmouth member of the ruling NPP, Kennedy Agyapong has stated that it will be very difficult for President Akufo-Addo to win the general election in 2020.

The Assin Central member of parliament says there are some outstanding issues at the grassroots of the NPP which are crippling the chances of the party ahead of the election which is just two years away.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, the outspoken politician revealed that footsoldiers of the ruling party are currently angry at the present government over failed promises and bad decisions, theBBCghana.Com reports.

“I will not say 2020 is a done deal for Akufo-Addo. I’m a good politician. I’m a grassroots person. The NPP people are annoyed. The grassroots are not seeing anything. So it’s not as easy as that so we have to correct those things,” stated.

Kennedy Agyapong, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Assin Central said there are a number of NPP members who are struggling to make ends meet saying there are some who “need just GHc200 to do business” but do not get any support.

Meanwhile, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo had earlier assured Ghanaians of more prosperous times ahead saying his administration will soon be introducing new policies that will improve upon the economic welfare of Ghanaians.

Speaking at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, as part of his tour of the Ashanti Region, the president revealed that his administration used the first few months of his administration to access the mess that the previous administration left behind.

Also, the president Akufo-Addo patted himself on the back saying his administration has achieved so much in just two years.

The president says his administration has succeeded in successfully implementing the free senior high school education.

Nana Addo says even though his political critics argued that the funding of the free SHS was impossible, his administration was still able to weather the storm and get things running.
